Today we’re taking a peek at the new and hotly anticipated Adidas Tubular Shadow Knit shoes. A brand new line in the Adidas range which offers this pair of fantastic shoes in a number of different colours. These lovely looking sneakers are a revamped versions of the Tubular Runner shoes, this time with a two-tone knit upper part. A fusion of Adidas’ iconic ’93 runner and cutting edge style, these Tubular shoes innovate classic designs for a fashion-forward look. They’re made with a two-tone mélange knit upper that creates an eye-catching 3D effect, finished in a diamond pattern. The “burrito” tongue features contrasting stitched details and contours to your foot for a snug fit. An EVA midsole adds lightweight cushioning for all-day urban adventures.
The latest instalment of the Tubular philosophy, the Shadow allows for unrivalled style in a directional silhouette that exudes refined luxe. Some would say it’s a movement. Others would describe it as a phase. This isn’t a fad or a trend. This is tubular.
The main features of these lovely shoes are:
- Two-tone flat knit upper
- “Burrito” tongue has a contoured design for a snug fit; Contrast stitching details
- Comfortable textile lining
- EVA midsole for lightweight cushioning
- Rubber pads in midsole
- Rubber outsole
I have to admit, these shoes are very comfortable and look great when on. They suit a casual look for travelling into the city to work or if you fancy going to the gym… A really diverse shoe! When I first saw them, I thought they were like a retail version of the Adidas Yeezy shoes (which are highly sought after), but with a less than half the price tag. Adidas are very sneaky with their product images online, though, as it doesn’t really show the two-tone. I’d rather just have one colour, however, when I tried these shoes this just wasn’t a big enough issue to stop me from buying them!
I’m super pumped for these shoes and have since been out to purchase more colours (which will undoubtedly feature on Gentleman-Project). If you’re thinking about getting these Tubular shoes, I’d definitely recommend giving them a try! They retail at £75, which is an absolute bargain for the great quality and how diverse they are. I’m very happy and will most likely buy more colours in the not so distant future!
So what are you waiting for?!
